The shield that drives me crazy

It took me quite some time coming up with the shield's color scheme (sorry for the fugliness sketch)... I have rough plans for the torso and the arms too but when it comes to the legs... I really have no idea.

Looks like brain is becoming a desert now. Dry.

What color? What color?

It's been such a while, two months in exact.

After the last airbrushing (Devil Gundam), I'm facing with a traumatizing 'what to paint?" syndrome the moment I'm done assembling Gundam 0079: Operation V.

I'm having thoughts of modding Guntank into a super mobile fortress as in something similar to a Rhino - massive beam cannon. I'm getting an idea of fitting Guntank so it looks something like Xamel :/ BUT that's another story, wait till when I'm good at pla-plating skills ehehe

NOW, the first order of business, the grand-daddy of Gundam... What custom colors fit RX-78.
I don't think I'd do marbling effects and the only idea I have in mind was to convert it into an Rx-78-3 Solomon Express G-3 and considering metallic elements to be included, too.....

Hmmm....

Commando Spawn

Here I am, again, after a hiatus due to college life. I'm back with a set of pictures of Commando Spawn. Apparently this is the sexiest figure I've taken so far. Don't worry, there's enough room for fan-service.

Probably a slug that might vaporize your blood veins or at least send you flying :D

Sexy beast. I have this 'doki doki' feel editing this shot ehehe.

"I will find you and I will kill you."

I tried one creative-enough (for me) shot which took me several attempts.

There's supposed to the captions on the picture but never mind about that.

That's it for the newest album on Commando Spawn. I hope I get enough free time for another wave of photoshoot with my collections. For the first timers visiting this, thank you! And for those who have been returning to this blog, another thank you for staying loyal! Hope to entertain you with more pictures in coming days.

Elmeth as a Shark?!!!!!

This probably sounds a bit new but I found myself staring at my toy shark and thought, this concept might work as custom for Gunpla so I went upstairs to my room and searched for a perfect candidate for that mod.

Eyes saw Elmeth! Hands grabbed Elmeth! And brain started to work on designs! But don't get overexcited because the progress made were all measurements and blueprints since I don't possess any pla plates to begin my first ever scratch-build mod.

Here's what I have had so far. Since I couldn't fit all seven A4 sheets into one screen, let's just take a glimpse of the first page.

These are straight from my instagram, 21st_Century_Rebellion, so they are a bit blurry >:D
Hope everything goes according to plan once I get my hands on pla plates.

War Machine

I felt slightly guilty having to compare War Machine and Iron Man Mark V only to find that "Oh... Mark V looks nicer." Maybe it's the color and maybe I'm not the type that appreciates monotoned suits.

Not that I don't agree with the proportions but I find it oddly disturbing yet impossible to stop looking at it now that I've thought about the oddness of it. the proportions for Iron Mark V were remarkably good looking but it became a different stories on War Machine. Hmm....

*covers face and runs away* I only have three pictures! It surely is a let down knowing that I've done so little for War Machine. But hey, revisit this blog and who knows there might just be more on Gundams and Spawn figures in the future :D

Guess who? Iron Man Mark V

Just got my hands on Iron Man Mark V and another one (that should be a secret for time being). I'm trying out some bokeh just for fun.

Zombie Spawn

Hey guys! This feels like a Halloween special even when it's not since I posted pictures of Spawn the Marauder, Lord Covenant, and Devil Gundam. Right now, I'm here to post something about Zombie Spawn - another figure I love in terms of its devilish detail. I am really really REALLY satisfied with the outcome (post-production of the images) simply because it gave me a 'pro-' feel even when I'm NOT.

Look at that ripped body - ripped as in 'ripped' and ripped. Get it? Nevermind.
Blood and rust

The shot I fell in love with.

JGD-00X Devil Gundam

This! I have long awaited for my airbrushing skills to develop for this very day (hahaha not!). I made a LOT of modifications in terms of colour in this kit - some hardcore let's-stick-to-the-original fans might not like this so you have my apologies ^^
Looking at the original Devil Gundam colour scheme, I felt an urge to change it.
Simply because:
1. It doesn't tell me it's a devil

There, one reason is all you need to change something (but not your marital status of course!! That you need to consider over and over again). You must have been bored with all those so let's enjoy some pictures shall we? Feel free to comment because I have a LOT to improve.

Whenever I look at this, it reminds me of Qurupeco from Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (which reminds of its annoying cries calling Deviljho ._.)

This gives me a better devillish feel.

Marbling effect all the way

Masking circular shapes for the sake of marbling effect is surely a pain in the ass

Of course, there were mistakes here and there. Hopefully I'll do better the next paint job.

Spawn - Lord Covenant

Seeing Lord Covenant really reminds me of Astaroth's 'The Master' from Soulcalibur. But Lord Iain Covenant has something bigger!
Here's some pictures first (just look at them as slow as possible, I have to think of captions next).

I'll just let the fangirls and fanboys droll over this one
Putting that foot (clearly not washed) aside, can we all take a minute to appreciate that armor?
Yes, please do.

Spawn the Marauder

Hello again! I felt bad not updating my blog (come on, let's blame the internet connection).
Let's break the ice with some pictures! :D

Just look at him... blowing things and stuffs.

I personally love this more than previous action figures of the same line because the details of post-processed pictures elevates you to another degree of satisfaction (and awe if you're the type that gets REALLY excited upon seeing good pictures.)

Nightmare Spawn - Photoshoot

I was never into McFarlane toys and never had a liking to figures of such scale but that was before I saw my uncle's stash of Spawn figures.
I opened and assembled the figure and had that urge to put it on a sexy photoshoot.
I do not have any miniature photobooth so a DIY photobooth would do perfectly.
- a black cloth (or any shirt... sheesh)
- a tungsten flashlight especially for this figure
Worry not about lightings if you own a DSLR or any smart camera that shoots perfectly in low light (just dial a low shutter speed)

Photography is trial and error when it comes to toys. Spend more time to discover shots. Also, replicate shots of toy magazines, they help A LOT.

Here are the pictures!!

I depended a lot on the tungsten flashlight for that classy evil look on it while focusing on the skull; fixing the angle so it actually stares at a different 'approachable' subject while holding the skull.

I'm odd because I find that the fractures on the skull are capturing. "I'd rather the skull than your face." So again, I'm focusing the skull (bear with me because it was not actually taken accurately according to the rule of thirds)

Shot of the body till the knees (bloody Nightmare Spawn has bloody long bat-like legs) because I could not maintain whats in the viewfinder if I were to take a full-body shot.

Well that's all! Hope I don't bore you with only three pictures (I have only taken five shots yet spending two hours last year). Be sure to revisit this blog for upcoming posts and pictures. I will resume Gunpla - scale modelling of fixed mechas - shortly. Thank you!
